  • The Ivory Peacock 38 West 26th Street New York, NY, 10010 United States (map)

Join us for an evening of elegance at our first ever Springtime Soirée: Expressions in Bloom. While many people still live each day like a closed flower, the Soirée is all about recognizing what we can do when in full bloom: the generosity of our sponsors, the achievements of our community, and the accomplishments of Build Out Alliance. This exclusive cocktail event will feature:

  • stunning performances by LGBTQ+ artists including the fabulous Theydy Bedbug, Junior Mintt and Pinkie Special

  • raffle prizes including two overnight stays provided by Getaway, each a $500+ value

  • food and drink, including beer, wine, and light appetizers throughout the event

  • heartfelt thank yous, recognition of everyone who makes Build Out Alliance a reality, and a delightful array of networking opportunities.

As we reflect on our collective achievements, we also will look forward to everything we have in store for 2024, sharing our goals and the exciting endeavors we aim to embark upon with the continued support of so many. Join us in a blooming Victorian/burlesque setting for an open bar, captivating raffle prizes, and the chance to support Build Out Alliance in our mission to champion authenticity and achievement in both the workplace and personal lives. It's not just a gathering; it's a tribute to the power of our community and the vision we hold for a more inclusive industry.

Our Soirée MC & Performers

Theydy Bedbug is the bug bite you beg for, the dad joke of Brooklyn, and Mx. Brooklyn 2019! Since 2016, Theydy's infested NYC nightlife, leaving a trail of subverted art forms and shattered gender norms in their wake. More than just a performer, Theydy's the founder and facilitator of the Drag Performance education program at BAX, empowering the next generation of self-expression champions. And if that wasn't enough, Theydy's currently a Queer|Art Fellow under the legendary Kate Bornstein's mentorship. Expect captivating theatrics, fierce social commentary, and dazzling costumes—Theydy Bedbug is ready to electrify the Soiree stage with a blend of drag artistry and activism you won't forget!

Junior Mintt is a trailblazing drag artist and a proud Black trans woman, renowned for her vibrant performances and unique artistry. She is the Founder and CEO of Mintty Makeup, a brand that champions inclusivity and celebrates the beauty of all identities. Junior's journey in the drag community has not only showcased her talent but also her commitment to empowering others. Through her work, both on stage and in the beauty industry, she continues to inspire and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, making her a prominent voice in the fight for equality and acceptance.

Pinkie Special is a NYC based hula hoop and burlesque artist. She has been dazzling audience for 20 years with unique energy and skill, and credited as "The Monty Python of Burlesque" by Julie Atlas Muz. Performing in nightlife, the circus and kids parties, she’s graced stages from Coney Island to Europe. All this by night and she’s a scientist by day!
